FIERA MILANO HOSPITAL, BUILT IN PORTELLO PAVILIONS 1 AND 2, DELIVERED TO THE POLICLINICO HOSPITAL OF MILAN TODAY

Milan March 31, 2020 – The Fiera Milano Hospital for Covid-19 patients, constructed in Portello Pavilions 1 and 2 at fieramilanocity, was launched this morning. In attendance were Attilio Fontana, President of the Lombardy Region; Enrico Pazzali, Chairman of Fondazione Fiera Milano; Gerardo Solaro del Borgo, representing Guido Bertolaso (Lombardy coronavirus consultant ), and Ezio Belleri, Managing Director of the Policlinico Hospital of Milan.
 
The hospital was built in ten days.  To date, the first four modules (each one made up of two hospitalization units and one ancillary services unit) have been built. These are real hospital rooms, with a total of 53 beds, constructed in Pavilion 2 by Aria SpA.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Fondazione Fiera Milano has made its Portello Pavilions 1 and 2 at Fieramilanocity available for the development of a pop-up hospital.
